Day 1 – Arrival in Moshi / Arusha
Arrive in Moshi or Arusha, where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. This marks the beginning of the Top 6-Day Kilimanjaro Climb via Marangu Route 2026, 2027 & 2028, a journey designed to provide a structured and comfortable trekking experience to Africa’s highest peak.
After check-in, you will meet your mountain guide for a detailed pre-climb briefing. During this session, your equipment will be checked, and you will receive important information about the route, safety procedures, and what to expect during the climb. This preparation ensures you are ready both physically and mentally.

After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate, the starting point of your trek. Once registration is complete, begin your hike through the lush rainforest zone.
The trail is well-defined and passes through dense vegetation filled with unique plant life and wildlife such as monkeys and colorful birds. The gradual ascent makes this first day manageable as you adapt to the trekking pace.

You will hike steadily toward Horombo Hut (3,720 m), where you will spend the night. Along the way, you may notice the vegetation becoming shorter and the air cooler as you gain altitude.

These short walks help your body adapt to higher altitude while maintaining activity levels. After the excursion, return to Horombo Hut for rest and preparation for the next stage of the climb.

Accommodation: Hut at HoromboDay 5 – Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
After breakfast, continue your ascent toward Kibo Hut (4,700 m). The trail passes through an alpine desert landscape, characterized by rocky terrain and minimal vegetation.
This part of the climb can feel more challenging due to altitude, so a steady pace is important. Upon arrival at Kibo Hut, you will rest and prepare for the summit attempt.
An early dinner is served, followed by a few hours of sleep before the midnight ascent. This is one of the most critical stages of the Top 6-Day Kilimanjaro Climb via Marangu Route 2026, 2027 & 2028.

Accommodation: Hut at KiboDay 6 – Summit Uhuru Peak & Descend to Marangu Gate

Reaching the summit at sunrise is a truly unforgettable moment. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views across the crater and surrounding landscapes.
After celebrating your achievement, begin the descent back to Horombo Hut for rest, then continue down through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. You will then be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
